    HomeHero

HomeHero's mission is to make running a home easy.

Getting a home set up and settled into is stressful and time-consuming. HomeHero is a resident's digital home manager, helping them to run all of their services from one platform.

HomeHero is delivering an operating system for the home built on a cloud-based architecture, integrated with sophisticated mobile and IoT technologies. HomeHero uses proprietary artificial intelligence and machine learning to drive this innovation.

    Summary

The HomeHero app was iterated over a period of a year to version 3.0 with lots of enhancements and improvements. We shipped version 1.0 early in 2021 and as a result, started to gain our first customers.

The app, on its own, offers tenants a wealth of tools that make running a home easy; from aggregating all household utility bills, to enabling day-1 activation of services like internet and energy, from instant live chat with a personal Hero to solve maintenance issues, to insight into the local area.

I was fortunate to play a key role in being the lead designer of the app version 1.0 as well as contributing shipped production code in SwiftUI to versions 1, 2 and 3 of the app. I was also fundamental in leading an empathy-driven approach to our product and design roadmap, being seen by our product managers as a core strategic thinker and all-around creator.

Following the shipping of version 1.0 of the app, we switched to a squad model and I moved to work almost exclusively on our property manager product, HomeHero Assist.
